Monday, 23
(Judges 7:9-18; 1 Peter 2:11-17)
The people came to Moses and said, “We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you; pray to the Lord to take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people. Numbers 21:7
We have not feared thee as we ought,
Nor bowed beneath thy aweful eye,
Nor guarded deed, and word, and thought,
Remembering that our God was nigh.
Lord, give us faith to know thee near,
And grant the grace of holy fear.

Jesus is able for all time to save those who approach God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Jesus you are forever interceding for us, yet we continue to wander and go astray. Loving Saviour, with repentant hearts we now humbly seek forgiveness. Strengthen us to turn from sin and towards prayer. In your most precious name.
