(Judges 4:1-11; James 4:11-17)

You sweep them away; they are like a dream, like grass, …in the morning it flourishes and is renewed; in the evening it fades and withers.

Psalm 90:5a,6

The night of sorrow long has reigned,

The dawn shall bring us light;

God shall appear, and we shall rise

With gladness in his sight.

J Morison a.

What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable.

1 Corinthians 15:42b

Like a grain of wheat unless we die to self, we remain but a single grain with no fruit. Lord, as we now give our lives to you, make us temples for your Holy Spirit and like a new dawn give us new life and new opportunity to experience your love which is eternal and without limitation. Lord, we thank You. Amen
